Independence Day is about freedom. Join us to celebrate our nation's history and take action for Democracy. Come to Ober Park at noon on Friday the 4th, bring your flags, your drums, your signs. We'll read excerpts of our Declaration of Independence and recall the context and the challenges our forebears faced then. We'll celebrate with music and song (and drums!)

We will then march to Vashon town and do a quick loop bringing us back to Ober Park. Wear comfortable shoes! Stay on the sidewalks or in the bike lanes, and only cross at the zebra stripes!

Invite your friends! Bring your musical instruments! Communicate your vision for a Free America! Occupy this space joyfully, with an open heart. Feel free to come early and bring a picnic, just be sure to pack everything out including all garbage.
