North Highline Unincorporated Area Council is hosting a candidate forum to allow voters to hear from the two current King County Councilmembers, Claudia Balducci and Girmay Zahilay.
King County Sheriff Patti Cole-Tindall will also be at the meeting.

De-Escalation Training for Protests & Rally Events
North Seattle Progressives is hosting a de-escalation training to prepare for No Kings 2" and have invited WSI members to join. The session will include active training for likely scenarios.
This is a great opportunity to build the experience needed to be part of the Safety Team for the event and to help expand WSI 's de-escalation team for future activities.

The Detention Lottery takes us where family, friends, and cameras cannot go: the all-but-secret detention courtroom. We hear desperate conferences between attorneys and their clients, and as one judge put it, “life-and-death decisions made in a traffic court setting.”

Labor Day "Workers Over Billionaires" March & Rally
Organized by May Day Strong, the 50501 national movement continues on Labor Day by standing strong, rallying for workers, immigrants and democracy over corporate profits. We will rally to: Protect and defend Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs for working people. Rally for fully funded schools, healthcare and housing for all. We will rally to stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, and all our communities and we encourage people to Invest in themselves and community and not wars.
