We’re Looking for Volunteers
camera operators | producers | interviewers | crew
We have interviewed dozens of people affected by this dismantling of institutions, all as intelligent, compassionate and eloquent as Robert. It is an amazing way to experience a rally or march. You really get to learn about your community. Most of our Interviewer/Camera Op teams have little or no prior experience! We train you. We work with cell phones.

Whether you are already highly skilled, or know nothing about this stuff, but are eager to LEARN in a collaborative environment, you belong with us!

So far we have produced more than 50 short videos, posting them on our Website and Social Media channels (Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky, YouTube). We have >10 hours of great interviews “in the can” on topics like:

Rally at Seattle Center
We had 6 teams covering the event, interviewing people and recording the entire slate of speakers at the Podium.
Here are 2 of the videos that were produced by 2 different professional editors, working with footage captured by our own newly trained Interviewer/Camera Op teams, filming on cellphones. You could do this!
West Seattle Indivisible’s own poet Jeanne Moore was there and presented her rally poem written for the event, “Hand’s Off.”

April Street Rally for Democracy
These three short videos captured the feel and content of street rallies in West Seattle and beyond. It shows that attending rallies is a good chance to connect with people, uplift our spirits, and build community. Our teams interviewed and recorded B-roll. 3 professional editors took very different approaches. They also made vertical versions for Social Media. These are professional editors and we need MORE!

West Seattle showed up to push back on the Trump agenda. The event was a celebration of community, diversity and inclusion.

Billionaire Bailout Bill
OK, this was one of our biggest disappointements (so far). We cranked out these 4 videos in a weeks time while the clock was ticking on passage of the bill. Our goal: get people to call their Representatives and Senators and get them to slow it down, negotiate, pull out portions. Camera Teams did their jobs, editors did their jobs. What we needed was SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCERS to get these out to 10’s of thousands and hundreds of thousands of people. Our reach was something like 1,500 at the best. Can you help us?
