IMPORTANT NOTICE:
HEALTHCARE IS AT RISK
Next year will be an important one for health insurance across the country as key Affordable Care Act subsidies run out and other health programs face cuts. President Trump and the Republicans have no plan.
But Washington State legislators do. Right now there are bills in both houses to provide healthcare for all. WSI’s Healthcare Team is working on a plan to raise awareness and support of these bills. But it will take all of us to make this happen.
What you can do right now:
Educate yourself on the plan by going to www.wholewashington.org.
If you or someone you love are affected by rising premiums, loss of coverage, or reduced services we want to hear from you. Your story will help show why protecting access to health care matters.
Share Your Experience - here’s the linkAttend our January 11 Members Meeting to learn more and ask questions. Already we are making plans to rally in Olympia. We will have many actions that you can take to help get these bills passed into law.
Healthcare is a human right.

We are working to organize and protect our immigrant neighbors with our allies, and other Indivisible chapters.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
COMMUNITY ESSAYS
We have been experiencing grief with Trump’s rise to the presidency, not once, but twice. These are precarious times for our country, and much harm has already been
inflicted on people, other countries, our institutions, and the natural world.
Ever since the Epstein scandal took its place as a major story of the day, I’ve been hesitant to write about it because, in my opinion, it is not and should not be the primary reason for opposing this administration and its many illegal and anti-American policies and actions.
When our children ask what you did to save democracy, what will you say? When Democracy Is at Stake, Silence Is Not an Option for West Seattle.
We are making a difference with our actions. The Mayor was here with West Seattle Indivisible. Now we need some of us to step off the street corner and share some of the other work of democracy.
I have been inspired, emboldened, and empowered by individuals and groups such as West Seattle Indivisible, to come up with a personal battle plan.
