WE’RE STILL STANDING
March & Rally on Saturday January 24th from 12:30-3pm
Hiawatha Park, West Seattle
This is an opportunity for YOU to join with friends, neighbors, and all who are standing strong against the fascist, authoritarian takeover of our country to make a bold statement … we are STILL STANDING.
West Seattle Indivisible, Evergreen Resistance, and 50501 are partnering to create an event filled with resolve as well as joyful resistance, emphasizing music, chants, song and lively dance.
This event is family-friendly, the site and march route are accessible, and a safety team is in place … bring your kids, friends, neighbors, and fellow community members to participate together to be loud and visible about what we still stand for. We’ll lift up hundreds of signs (provided) naming the values we protect and the future we’re committed to building.
Gather at Hiawatha Park at 12:30 for the rally kick-off to grab a sign and be inspired by local performers, then march with us starting around 1:00 (the march route is about 1.2 miles, flat sidewalk surface). Assemble on the Walnut St. side of the park (not on the playfield/track). Metro Rapid Ride C Line connects to buses 128 and 50, which stop right in front of Hiawatha and also near the end point of the march.
We will move with joyful purpose and fierce resolve, and will stand together as a visible, undeniable force for democracy and community.
Show up. Stand strong. Stay in the fight.
